Chicago Tours / City in a Garden Tour
Chicago’s motto is “Urbs in Horto” and much effort has been put into developing the city’s beautiful parks and boulevards. On this tour, we will explore the city’s extensive Park District filled with ornamental gardens, plant conservatories, bird sanctuaries, lagoons and, of course, our magnificently landscaped Lakefront. We will follow the Boulevards, which were specifically created to link the large Parks of the South, West, and North sides. The history of and the current/future projects for the Parks’ continued development will be discussed and stops will be made at the Garfield and Lincoln Park Conservatories, as well as other picturesque locations throughout the city.
