When you arrive at the airport, do you make a habit of finding the airport lounge so you can relax and get away from it all before your flight? Airport lounges are great places to unwind or to meet with someone before you both have to go to your next destinations.
Wouldn’t it be great if you could get information about available lounges before you even make your preparations for the trip to the airport? This would save you valuable time and give you one less thing to worry about when you arrive at the terminal.
The LoungeBuddy app is designed to help you easily locate lounges from around the world and gain access to them. LoungeBuddy contains information about airport lounges situated in more than 500 of the planet’s busiest airports.
No matter if you are a frequent business traveler or someone taking a casual vacation, if your flight includes a lengthy layover, you’ll want to take advantage of the amenities of your airport’s lounge.
LoungeBuddy has been recently updated to version 2.05. The app requires iOS 7.0 or later and works on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, with optimization for use on the iPhone 5. For Android devices, you need Android 4.0 or later.
With the upgrade comes some new features. LoungeBuddy now includes a Trip Management feature and will let you automatically pull information about your trips from your Concur account. With the new Instant Lounge Access feature for users in the United States and the United Kingdom, you can quickly purchase lounge access straight from the app. Note that if you haven’t upgraded your app in a while, recent updates added barcode support for purchases and support for Apple Pay.
An airport lounge serves as a tranquil oasis that you can use to get away from all the tumult and excitement of modern airports. It’s a place to catch up on your email, read a book and settle down with some refreshments. Being able to use an app on your smart phone to help you find airport lounges and access them will definitely make your travel experiences all the more sweeter and relaxed.
