The 39th annual Chicago Jazz Festival kicks off on Thursday and runs through September 3rd. Held in Millennium Park, the event is free and open to the public. The Chicago Jazz Collective, Dave Rempis Quintet, and Jon Faddis are scheduled to perform on the 31st.

African Festival of the Arts

United Flight 232 Opens at the Chopin Theatre
